Can someone please give me some general information on Public
Domain software for the IBM PC and others.

I understand that there is a public domain MAKE for the PC.
Is the source (for make and other stuff) obtainable from the net
or do I need to contact a particular club for the .EXE?

I'm new to the net and appreciate any help.  I plan to post some
source and valuable information as soon as I can.
