Vital parts were left on the ( cutting room ) floor. In the book, the auto crash scene is very well explained. In fact, Most of the book was setting up the crash. I just stopped, closed the book, and laughed. The movie version cuts out much of the book, but included a scene where Roberta muses that at least she decided to have her's cut off ... that did not make network television. Other things, like poo's sister dying in childbirth, which make the story more reasonable if bazzare, are left out of the movie. Garp bit bonkers Stephe
