Looks like the days of guessing the sonic origins of you material are numbered,
one of my CD's had a little notice on the back explaining the new system of
marking that should appear on the back cover of materials (not sure if albums
will use this convention).  You should see a little box on the back cover with
three letters in it.  These letters seem to be either A or D.

	AAD:	Analog recording, Analog mixing, Digital master
	ADD:	Analog recording, Digital mixing, Digital master
	DDD:	Digital recording, Digital mixing, Digital master

I suppose that vinyl albums would end in A verses D=> AAA, ADA, DDA
Hopefully everyone will mark their CD's correctly so that the next
hissy one heard can be correctly guessed as an AAD disk badly mixed!
