Thanks for all the info on modulation/demodulation schemes.
What your trying to do is divide your transfer rate by two or four or
whatever so you can use RS232 interfacing, right?  Is everyone so sure 
that RS232 won't operate at the higher baud rate of MIDI?  Some in this
group have said it will.  A mod/demod setup seems like such a complex 
solution, but it does make for some informative articles.
