Lines: 29 Xref: watmath net.nlang.india:222 net.travel:1223 I am in a currently in the process of purchasing an air ticket through an agent in Holland. The details are: Departure: NYC To: DEL/BOM Carrier: AIR INDIA via: LON, with stopover if desired Restrictions: minimum stay 6 nights, max stay 6 months fare: $ 875 return; This agent, Ad Latjes, has an attorney in NYC; you can pick up your tickets from there (no checks mailed into the blue yonder..). He also has a toll free number: 1-800-626-4280. The fare sounds unrealistically low, since the going discount rate for AIR INDIA seems to be ~$1050-1100. I understand that this is made possible by the strong dollar and high traffic in the NYC-LON and LON-DEL sectors, so that two parts are less than the whole. Anyone to shed any further light? If you mail me, I'll summarise along with my own experience in about two weeks.
