A good introduction to holography is "Engineering Applications of Lasers and Holography" by Winston E. Kock (Plenum Press, 1975). A more advanced work is "Optical Holography" by Robert J. Collier, Christoph B. Burckhardt, and Lawrence H. Lin (Academic Press, 1971). These books contain references to published papers on computer- generated holograms (including kinoforms). Figure 18.10 of the second book is a photo that should excite you.. I had our technical library conduct a literature search to locate other references on the subject. Perhaps a net working group should be formed for the exchange of information on this topic?
