I know, for example, that there are Christian missionaries in Israel. They are not terribly appreciated, but they aren't run out of town on a rail either. I don't know about the laws of the state of Israel, but everywhere else in the world, it is no crime among Jews to discuss Talmud with Gentiles (I have a couple of volumes of Talmudic commentary myself - it's very interesting. And the Talmud is in the library, along with the "Guide for the Perplexed" by Maimonides) It would be very helpful if someone with direct knowledge of the statutes in Israel to contribute to this discussion. -- jcpatilla "'Get stuffed !', the Harlequin replied ..."
