After all, neither of you really know each other yet. I think it's a good idea on a first date to choose something you are sure the other person wouldn't pass up (even if she/he already didn't really care for you. (ie: a concert you know they've been dying to see, a day at the beach with some other people) This way they are more likely to say "yes" and then while you are on the date, you have the chance of getting to know each other better. Now, if you ask her/him out again doing something you think they would like and you get that half-hearted answer, then maybe she/ he really isn't interested in you after all. * only my opinion... -karen
