I don't knowwhat hte arguments that you are getting are,
but around here it is that teenagers cannot/are not (depends on
what side of the fence you are on) use contraceptives reliably.
So they use them improperly, think that they are safe, and then
get pregnant.

A friend of my fathers is a GP. He has a file of funny contraceptive
stories he has heard over the years. You would be shocked to know
how many people come in complaining of the tase of contraceptive
jelly...
