I am always hopeful and optimistic on first dates, as 1) It is always nice when the other person agrees to the date, and 2) I wouldn't have asked the person out if I didn't have some hopes that we would be in some way able to have a good time together. Furthermore, I also find myself disagreeing with your strategy for said first dates, as I much prefer going out to drink beer at the local pub, or walking in the park, or something which allows communication between the two persons, as opposed to the plan you suggest which seems to be intended to distract the person(s) from devoting attention to the other person. The whole idea is to see if you like one another, isn't it? -- Joseph Arceneaux USL Computer Science Department {akgua, ut-sally}!usl!jla "I'm sorry, but my kharma just ran over your dogma."
