      Here's the answers to some trivia I recently posted...

      1. Rookie and MVP ... Fred Lynn
      2. Rookie and Cy Young ... Fernando Valenzuela
      3. Last spitballer ... Burleigh Grimes   *CLASSIC*

    ...and the one you've all been waiting for...

      It seems when a baseball trivia question is obscure the answer
is a well known player (i.e. Who was on deck when Bobby Thompson hit
his famous home run ?).  However, the last pitcher to hit a home run
in the American league defies this general rule.  That's probably
why no one got it right.  He was Roric Harrison, then of the Baltimore
Oreoles.

 ...and now some more...

      1. Who is the all-time hit by pitch leader ?

      2. Who gave up Carl Yastrzemski's 3000th hit ?

      3. What starting pitcher made his last major league appearance in
         the same game ?

      4. Name the first pennant winning team in the 20th century to use
         more than one manager in their pennant winning year. (Interim
         managers do not count)
