While still in Haiti, he was a "nationally prominent volleyball star" according to today's Raleigh News and Observer! According to coach Cremins, "A couple of years ago, Yvon couldn't even speak English. He didn't have good hands, but he took up a lot of room, and I figured if a kid comes out of Haiti and he wants an engineering degree, he can't be lazy...." And, of course, a background in volleyball didn't hurt either. So, all you engineers on the net, study hard and play volleyball if you want to improve your basketball skills! - George ("Go Tarheels") Entenman P.S. Tech lost to Georgetown today, but I thought they played a great game!
