The movie was EXACTLY the same as the videotape (saw the movie 25+ times and own the videotape). After running the videotape back and forth to check for said scene, I can tell you categorically that it just ain't there. In fact, Doohan himself, when asked why he carried the boy onto the bridge after Khan's first attack, he said something to the effect of: Yes, it seemed stupid, and out of character for Scotty to do something like that. It only seemed that way because the scene explaining that the boy was his nephew was CUT FROM THE MOVIE!
