I left out a point that made me think about this. I will grant that everything you mention above is true (I was thinking that as well) but then I considered: Can Sarek claim he had nothing to do with Kirk's running off? (Pardon me if I'm mistaken but) considering Sarek is a member of the body that quarantined Genesis how can he let Kirk run off to Genesis with prior knowledge? Wouldn't he be considered an accomplice then? If that were true then add him to the list of people who have-to-get-out-of-it-this-time. The least Sarek can be nailed for at this point is aiding and abetting fugitives (unless he turns them in of course). To the person who replied saying "Kirk doesn't have to get out of it this time" I will have to conceed that you are 100% correct. My big frustration walking away from the theatre the first time I saw the movie was that they ended it so they didn't HAVE to have another movie. That unfortunately gives me big mental problems so my way of dealing with it is by adopting a big streak of optimism and going under the assumption that there will be ST-IV (already true) and that Kirk and company will find a way out like they always have before (anyother way wouldn't be StarTrek). If that doesn't happen the net will be the first to receive my suicide letter :-). -- ----------------------------------- Norm Pritchett UUCP: cbosgd!osu-eddie!pritch CSNET: pritch@ohio-state BITNET: TS0017 at OHSTVMA MA-NET: (614) 291-8775
