Pleasant? Ok? Horrible? Is the scenery amazing? Scenery is beautiful BUT make sure you are doing the trip in the daytime. When I did it most westbound trains passed through the scenic areas at night. Boring. If you want a seat in dome car (if on train) arrive early with a view to occupying same. > What is interesting in Vancouver? Is the zoo good(I love zoos)? Visit Gastown area - cutesy. Visit Stanley Park - walking, biking. Get a car and cross the Lion's Gate bridge to West Van. Drive up the coast. See water, trees, mountains. Take the ferry to Vancouver Island. Scenic ferry ride through islands, etc. Take the ferry up the coast. (assorted ferries available - check current status of reservations, line-ups, etc. All worth the ride, inexpensive. Various points of departure, south and north ends of Van.) -- Mike Taylor ...!{ihnp4,hplabs,amd,sun}!amdahl!mat [ This may not reflect my opinion, let alone anyone else's. ]
