NBC announced yesterday that ST. ELSEWHERE has been renewed for another
season.  While I haven't seen the ratings, this makes me feel that HILL
STREET BLUES and CHEERS are probably also safe, as ST. ELSEWHERE was
the underdog in the ratings game.

I'm sure I speak for everyone by sending a dignified, cultured
thank-you to the folks at NBC...
