Lines: 30 ******* The title of the cartoon is "Herge's Adventures Of Tin Tin" Herge (the spelling could be wrong) was the author of the stories. Tin Tin was the boy, the dog was called Snowy. The other main character was Captian ...... (something or other, I've forgotten now), a sailor. There were also two other characters which regularly appeared in the cartoon. They were both dressed in suits, had bowler hats, breifcases and umbrellas, infact the archetypal British office worker/s. They were also twins. Their lastname was Thompson, and were known as the Thompson twins (were the band of the same name, took their name from). ******** I *saw* that, but it wasn't a cartoon, it was live action! Could it be that some live action films were made based on the cartoon, or is all this a hallucination? The plot involved the Captian's search for a boat left to him by a dear departed friend. Seems there was something very valuable about the boat, but no one could figure out what it was until someone scratched the paint off the solid gold railing. The show ended with a professor type making a helicopter for parrots so they wouldn't get their wings tired. Or some such. A bit juvinile, but it stuck in my mind because Tin Tin is such a stupid name for a boy. One scene had the Captain smoking hash. I wonder if they could show that on TV now.... -- __ Ron Christian (Watkins-Johnson Co.
