Knowing how things go on the net, I ended with a PLEA not to start flaming all over those groups again. Looks as if I have to repeat this request a second time: Please, no flames to "legal, auto, consumers" Post them to "net.flame", or if you don't think this is an effective place for "selective flaming", request a seperate group "net.legal.55mph", if you want to do something 'in earnest', or "net.flame.55mph" if you feel the need for a forum where you can "let steam off" on a regular basis. I'd suggest, however, that sending copies of an original letter to political representatives and newspapers would do a lot more good. Not that I'm mad at anyone that has flamed - I just got my first speeding ticket in 15 years yesterday, when trying to go after another car which had run me off the road. No, the cop didn't jump in his car to help me pursue and identify the idiot - he stated that "I was just out of luck that I bent my rims when being pushed off the road".
