I have been reading through old news lately, and I realize after reading some
of my old postings that yes, I have been a real FOOL lately.  I am sure that a
few of you will agree!  I humbly ask your apologies and I am willing to make
the following promises: 

  I will use private mail when appropriate.  No more To: Joe Schmo all over
  net.flame.  If I have anything that's of GENUINE net-wide interest, of
  course I will post! 

  I will keep articles in there appropriate newsgroups.  From now on, if you
  want to see my latest religious lambasting of some hapless non-believer,
  you will just have to read net.religion. 

  I will take away that submachine gun and LAW I gave my son for his
  birthday. (He is going to be upset!) 

  I will post flame about Mr. Reagan, once in a while. Only when appropriate,
  though! 

  I will be more tolerant of opposing viewpoints.

  I will use the ":-)" symbol, when appropriate.

  I will use poor spelling, and I promise to use "it's" when "its" should be
  used, at least once per article, so I will fit in naturally with the USENET
  crowd :-) 

  I will think before I post. I will attempt to elimanate [:-)] all the
  garbage that was a product of my keyboard! No more articles advocating
  the bombing of abortion clinics!

To those who rely on net.flame for their morning's entertainment, I am sorry to
remove a large portion of your entertainment. I believe, however, USENET will
benefit from my change of heart.
