I think you were taken on that one since everyone knows that the backup batteries are either: a) not hooked up, or b) last checked 10 years ago, or d) all of the above As for the mice, THAT could be true. I once worked with a guy who was a worse slob than I am (yes, it's true! -- now where did my keyboard go?) Ah well, he leaves the remains of lunches and snacks all around his area for months at a time and it was discovered that some mice decided his IBM PCXT was a nice place to hide while they munched. Actually, I can't think of a better use for an XT, now that I think of it. Glad you seem to have survived the shutdown without too bad of a case of withdrawal! later ... becky.
