I wondered when someone would notice that. Wally the Wonder Badger is the resident wizard of the dungeon. He, along with Shreldalff the Shy, cleaned out the Evil One, and he took over the dungeon. He is an industrious badger, made intelligent by accidentally nosing into Shreldalff's study. While there, he traced out a rune of questing on the floor (by accident, actually; he just was chasing a spider around, but Shreldalff is not only Shy, but credulous), and Shreldalff was intruiged enough to cast a spell of intelligence on him to find out what quest would have been entrusted to a badger. Although disappointed when he found out what had been happening, Wally was such a wonderful conversationalist, he adopted him as an apprentice. Having taught him everything he knew (although Wally was able to overcome this handicap), Shreldalff and Wally went off to evict the Evil One from the Dungeons of Doom for non-payment of rent, not to mention keeping evil mutant creatures around, thus lowering property values in the neighborhood. After the battle, Shreldalff and Wally agreed that Wally should clean out the dungeon. Unfortunately, the people who want the Amulet of Yendor (unnamed, except to say they are distant relations of Libby the Kid) can't wait for the cleanup task to be finished. Sorry.
