I would be interested in doing such a thing if I could do it for around $500 (for a 10 meg system). I've seen an ad for Xebec Apple controller for around $375 (where can I get documentation for it?). What other Apple hard disk controllers are there and how much? Basically I'm a software person, not into hardware, so I wouldn't want to build my own controller.
