I'm thinking of taking up the instrument but I don't know the first thing about it. Suggestions both of where to look (music stores, pawn shops, classified ads, bulletin boards, music schools?) and how to evaluate a sax when I find one (condition, price, and preferred brands and models) would be appreciated. In addition, if anyone has any bright ideas about how to find a good teacher and get a good start on the horn, please share them. I'm an adult of modest musical ability but with a love for the instrument. My secret wish is to learn to play jazz, but I'd be very happy if I could just blow a little blues. Please reply by mail and if there's interest I'll summarize to the net. --- Prentiss Riddle ("Aprendiz de todo, maestro de nada.") --- {ihnp4,harvard,seismo,gatech,ctvax}!ut-sally!riddle --- riddle@ut-sally.UUCP, riddle@ut-sally.ARPA, riddle%zotz@ut-sally
