This unit is a sampling keyboard (cheap Kurzweil). has a great piano sound. and I have a B3 sound for it. It uses small MAC-type disks and except for the nyquist frequency being at 14.7K it's a great instrument for $1700.00 You can sample sounds, and there's an interface coming (real soon now) for the Apple that will allow you to vary parameters. (additive synthesis) I'll post a full review when I've had a chance to play with it awhile. But it sounds like it's the perfect keyboard for someone who doesn't have $11K for a Kurzweil. (Oh yeh, It samples at 2 secs. at full frequency response, 4 secs. at half, and 8secs. at 1/4) I don't know if it's going to like cymbals or pipe organs very much because of their high-frequency energy, but we'll see.
