Why is it that Lot is considered by some christians (and apparently by god) a great guy? How can someone who offers his daughters for a gang rape (apparently without even asking them) be anything but a scum, and his god being not so nice either? I realize that he was protecting his guests, but why then didn't he offer himself, or just say no, get lost?
