So, if your husband is a Lord I can call you a Lady. A Guy, to us Brits, is a stuffed dummy to be burnt on the bonfire on Nov 5th each year in celebration of the fact that Guy Fawkes failed (sadly) to blow up our Houses of Parliament. I know that this is (mostly) read in the US of A, but some of us still speak it like that. I tend to use the word Bird in the context of a female at the older end of girl where it overlaps the younger end of woman.
