I don't wear any rings these days. The message (if it can be called that) is that my skin chemically attacks almost any metal brought in contact with it. Silver turns black in under 30 minutes, bronze simply melts away over time, I've even been known to tarnish gold, depending on its alloys. A former SO once made me a beautiful sterling silver ring. After seeing what my skin did to it, she borrowed it back and had it plated with rhodium to prevent tarnishing. My skin ate the rhodium off it and even took out the epoxy she used to hold the stone in place. Thus, I've given up on jewelry for the most part. If anyone wants to know things about me that can be signalled by jewelry, they'll just have to ask. -- -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- The Polymath (aka: Jerry Hollombe) Citicorp TTI 3100 Ocean Park Blvd. Santa Monica, CA 90405 (213) 450-9111, ext. 2483 {philabs, randvax, trwrb, vortex}!ttidca!ttidcc!hollombe
