The Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia,
Vancouver, B.C. is hiring a Computer Facilities Manager. Starting salary
in the mid thirty thousand range. Excellent benefits.
Job description is given below:
  
  
              COMPUTER FACILITIES MANAGER

Reports to Chairman of Computing Committee in Dept. of Computer Science
at UBC.  Duties include management of all hardware and software computing
facilities in Dept.  (Hardware include VAXes, SUN workstations, PDP-11's,
TI 990's and Macintoshes).  Provides support to University's timesharing
systems for Dept. teaching and research.  Designs, develops and manages
software/hardware systems in support of specific research projects within
the Dept.  A Dept. Programmer works under the supervision of the Computer
Facilities Manager.

Preferred Qualifications:  M.Sc. in Computer Science or related
discipline and at least two years related experience.  Knowledge of
the UNIX and MTS operating systems an asset.
