another way to effectivly change your username is to use a LAT server.
This device allows multiple sessions on a VMS host, so the need for
$SET HOST 0 or $SPAWN.....  goes away.  In fact, I think that is more 
efficient to LAT>CONNECT than it is to SPAWN or SET HOST.
