Lines: 18 From: David Sher I need some help from some of you Motorolla types out there. I'm working on a paper that compares the speed of a parallel machine at BBN called the butterfly whose base processor is the 68000 with the speed of a parallel processor at CMU called the WARP with a custom built processor for certain computer vision tasks. I need to determine the speed of the Butterfly if the 68000's were replaced by 68020's with floating point coprocessors, 68881's or in fact anyone else's coprocessors. So much for motivation. The information I need is the timings for 32 bit word integer add subtract and multiply and memory to register transfer 64 bit word floating point add subtract and multiply and memeory to register transfer. Thanks in advance! Please mail me @ arpa: sher@rochester uucp: seismo!rochester!sher -David Sher
