        I've  heard that  the paint  on new  cars continues  to cure and 
        isn't  really  completely  set  for  some  months  after initial 
        shipment of the car. From those who say this is true, one should 
        NOT  wax  a  new  car  until  it  does  set,  but rather wash it 
        frequently  with cold  water and  mild automobile  soap.
                Is  this true, and if  so how long does  it take to set?
