Lines: 22 [] Has anyone else discovered Tom Sharpe? He is an Englishman, writing sardonically farcical novels something like the early Kingsley Amis. If you like to laugh, Mr. Sharpe can help. My favorite so far is "Wilt." The plot cannot be summarized without the protection of "rot13." If you've read Chaucer, in particular "The Miller's Tale", well - "Wilt" has the same kind of extravagantly improbable, extravagantly ribald plot, sustained over the length of a novel. "Wilt," "The Wilt Alternative," "Vintage Stuff," and others are currently available in paperback. Regards, Chris -- Full-Name: Christopher J.
