I have noted with interest the postings relating to Sherlock Holmes books/stories not written (handled?) by A. Conan Doyle. What I would like to know is: has any one compiled a comprehensive list of this sort of book? If so would someone send me please send me a copy? If not, (here's where I put my foot in it), let me know and I'll post again to solicit entries for one. I can think of three that I have read other than the Meyers(sp?) books (7% & West End): ????? by Fred Saberhagen - Sherlock Holmes meets Dracula. This one was done in a fairly serious vein and postulated an interesting relationship between Holmes and vampires. _The Case of the Peerless Peer_ by Philip Jose Farmer - Sherlock Holmes meets Lord Greystoke. I found this one somewhat silly and ultimately annoying. ????? by ????? - I would appreciate it if anyone can fill in the question marks on this one. Here we find that Holmes' and Moriarty's superior powers stem from the fact that they are (twin? - cloned?) actors from the far future who traveled back in time for some reason. As I recall, the author was treating the book seriously. It appears that there is a very large number of these books and, I state again, I would be very interested in seeing a list of them.
