I'm personally interested in pursuing a synthesis of explicit and automatic user modeling techniques for enhancing personalization of the interface. Although I have an implementation in mind, I would like to step back from specifics and concentrate on high level models of user activity. (A good example of this process is in the October '84 issue of Int. J. of Man-Machine studies, articles by Norman, Rissland and Croft). Please reply ASAP. If there is enough interest, I'll try to set it up. By the way, I've never set up a birds-of-a-feather group before. If there are others out there who feel that they could lead this topic, please say so. Saul Greenberg, University of Calgary, Canada (403)-284-6786
