Lines: 12 Marmite, for those people who have not had the joy/sorrow to taste it, is a yeast extract sold in most of Europe, and in some of the gourmet stores in the US. It is dark brown in color, and looks something like axle grease. It also smells pretty foul. The reason I say joy/sorrow of tasting it is because people who have tasted it fall into two groups; those who fall in love with it and those who wouldn't even stay in the same room as a bottle of it.
