Yup, crypt is now classified and UNIX being shipped outside
the USA has it removed.  Reason why I know is that Canada is
outside the USA (for now) and our latest Hewlett-Packard HP-UX 
(Sys III) has crypt carefully removed.  I have a recurring
fantasy of a hacker sneaking into the Russki consultate
and trying to sell a copy of crypt.c
Probably worth about 98 cents and a bag of seed corn for
helping kremvax!gorbchv find out his root password.
