Lines: 21 Xref: watmath net.followup:4700 net.emacs:846 net.sources:2744 net.unix-wizards:12618 I just got a copy of GNU emacs, and it is large. I am willing to post it to mod.sources, but it is HUGE (about 20 postings), and I'll be DAMNED (can I say that on the net?) if I am going to send extra copies of lost portions to all those sites on the net that have flakey news connections, or spool files too small to hold the whole thing. (Remember, I've got a job, and a home life, and I even like to sleep, occasionally). If I DID post it, I would have to space it out over several days to avoid overflowing the disks on our neighboring sites (notably, decvax). Please send MAIL if you have an opinion. I will entertain any suggestions as to what to do with this. I will post a summary (or a decision, or something), but I really have a bad feeling about this, and think that a tape distribution system had got to be less of a hassle. By the way, if it is APRIL and you are reading this, don't bother to reply: It is probably too late to influence my decision, anyway.
