Hewlett Packard Research Laboratories in  Palo  Alto  has  an  immediate
opening  for  an  experienced software engineer interested in building a
large distributed operating system.  

We  are  a  team  of  people  dedicated  to  implementing  a   LAN-based
distributed  operating  system, aimed at providing a highly reliable and
transparent  environment  to  users  of  distributed  workstations   and
servers.   Key  elements  of  such an environment include virtual memory
over  network,  problem-oriented  network  protocols,   replication   of
resources,   remote  process  management,  and  network  clustering  and
reconfiguration.

You should have knowledge of Unix internals (Unix is a trademark of Bell 
Laboratories) and minimal two years of design/implementation  experience
