He liked to go out and play in the warm sunshine and his mother certainly encouraged him to do so. One day little Johnny came in sobbing as though his heart would break. "What's the matter?" asked his mother. Johnny told his tale of woe. "Oh mother, I was over at Mrs. Jones' house and all I was doing was hissing in her pit. I wasn't bothering anything but she came out and yelled at me to quit hissing in her pit and go home." His mother said, "Well, she's got a lot of nerve! I remember when she didn't have a pit to hiss in herself."
