None of the suggested answers seem to be accurate, though the first one may be close. I don't think we can say God was lonely because He already had communion with Himself. I don't think the Bible gives us much clues except that God seem s to be in to creating and love. The angels were His servants, but we became His friends. Maybe God wanted someone that He could care for and love. Why do people have children? Perhaps we can make a correlation. karen
