Lines: 9 Despite the generally wintery appearance of the world in upstate NY, a couple of recent sightings have convinced me that spring is on the way. Last week I identified a blue-gray gnatcatcher - first I've seen outside of my native Florida. While geese have been flying north for a month, this is more convincing! Also, when down in Ithaca a week ago, I saw my first wild turkey (in the wild, that is). A magnificent beast! Good watching, Nemo
