In May or June, Arapahoe Basin (near Denver) should still be open. That's still spring skiing! As for summer, Chile sounds like it has the best skiing, but also (especially this year) the best warfare. A New Zealander told me that between New Zealand and Australia, Australia has bigger ski resorts but New Zealand has better skiing. He said August is the prime month but also crowded with students. June and July are stormy; September is his preference (similar to US spring skiing). Anyone have data to verify or contradict any of this info? Sound tempting... --Bruce Burger AT&T Information Systems Freehold, NJ {...ihnp4!}ahuta!btb
