(I mean, after all the hype that Steve Hayman and Dave Brown generated before the Final Four, I think that some people south of the border would like to know what happened...) Semifinals (national rankings in parentheses): (#2) Waterloo Warriors 84 (#12) St. Francis Xavier X-men 76 (#4) Victoria Vikings 79 (#5) Manitoba Bisons 70 (OT) Interesting note on the UVic-Manitoba semifinal. Manitoba had a 20-point lead early in the 2nd half. The Bisons then folded and had to make a shot at the buzzer to force overtime with a 64-64 tie. Consolation Final: Manitoba won. Who cares about the score? Championship Game: Victoria 93 Waterloo 79 Victoria wins their sixth straight CIAU basketball championship. sigh... regards, dwarf -- "Damn the integrals, full speed ahead!" mathNEWS--the math student newspaper at the University of Waterloo {allegra|clyde|linus|ihnp4|decvax}!watmath!watdcsu!mathnews UUCP mathnews%watdcsu@waterloo.csnet CSNET mathnews@watdcsu NETNORTH
