I followed the lead of people like Bill Dietrich, and claimed my salary as a scholarship. I received a sizable return, HOWEVER, I also just got audited. The auditor not only said my salary was not a scholarship, but she said it was completely taxable (no educational deduction or business expense). I am going to appeal the decision, but need HELP. HELP: If anyone knows any more information about this situation, please call or send mail to me. I need to know things like: 1) What other OYOCs filed this way, where audited, and past without being audited? 2) What where the names of the auditors that accepted the salary as a scholarship? 3) Does Bell Laboratories have an official stance on this matter? Will they generate a letter stating the salary was indeed a scholarship? 4) Where there any court cases that where in favor of the OYOC? Please send me information if you have nay. I will post the results of my appeal on netnews. Artie Chang ihuxb!nucomp IW 2V-214 x0185
