In the 3/85 issue of Hardcopy, p. 122, there is an announcement from
EECO of a device to playback a still picture and/or 10 seconds of
audio from one frame of a laser videodisk. The device (the VAC-300)
has an RS-232 interface for computer-controlled frame access.
They also announced a companion encoding device for the producer.
The target seems to be the slide show or art-gallery-on-a-disk.
