Example: 3 data bytes, so positions 0,1 & 2 have data, and position 3 contains an ASCII 3, and this character is repeated for the remainder of the packet. This condition sets the receiver to expect this to be the last packet. If the sender then terminates, the receiver knows this WAS the last packet, if not it just happened to occur that way!
