I don't know where I found it, but there is a termcap named "ws", numeric,
which should contain the length of the status line. But then, of course,
the prime status line user, sysline, doesn't look at it. The hacks (for
use with a Wyse 50, btw) are simple. I think it should default to the co
cap if ws doesn't exist.
