(new user figures out what's going on here) Message-ID: <441@dicomed.UUCP> Date: Tue, 9-Apr-85 19:06:33 EST Article-I.D.: dicomed.441 Posted: Tue Apr 9 19:06:33 1985 Date-Received: Sat, 13-Apr-85 14:57:34 EST Organization: DICOMED Corp., Minneapolis Lines: 20 Oh, I get it! net.flame means you can post anything you want and it's okay because then if people don't like what you post they just post an article saying they don't like it and it's alright because someone else will post an article saying that the person who flamed the first person is a narrow minded twit and maybe even correct some of the spelling errors! So, if I post this article and misspell a few words that is actually good because then that gives someone else something to flame me about and thereby perpetuates net.flame. And I could even send a posting to net.flame saying: FOR SALE - One partially complete set of lawn darts. and that would be okay too because someone could post an article saying "that inconsiderate fool! lawn darts don't belong in this news group! why doesn't somebody pull his plug!". In fact it would even be alright for me to post a totally sarcastic article and not end it with a ":-)" because then someone could flame me because they thought I was serious. And that would be good because this is net.flame you know! p.s I just accidentally fell sideways and you know what? From here it really does look like a smiley face :-)
