Why should a true lover of jazz feel squeamish about submitting directly to net.music? Is there a higher form of music that "pure" jazz? I doubt it. (Ow! It's getting hot in here!) As for the "who listens to Joe Pass/Sarah Vaughan/etc" query, I listen to large doses of jazz. I'd rather listen to Kate Bush than Joe Pass (he's a little low key for me) but I give myself weekly fixes of Bill Evans, Charlie Parker, Eric Dolphy, even Bennie Goodman. Long live jazz! Now put the Cramps back on would you? Jim McCrae / Sytek / Mtn. View CA
