Probably a simple extension of the ':' > command would do. > ---------- Possible Command Syntax: Add a command G (for Grab) that works the same way as the D (Drop) command does. You ask for object classes or " ", u, or a, and you are iteratively asked (ynaq) about each object in the pile under your feet. Adding an I command to display a list of the objects under your feet would be helpful. If this list was lettered, a g (for grab) command similar to the d command would also be useful. Orthogonal command sets are nice! ;-} I would leave the default action, when moving onto a square, picking up all possible objects. It might be nice to add an r (for recent) option to the D (and proposed G) commands that would Drop (or Grab) the objects picked up (or dropped) in the last Grab (or Drop) move. This would make recovering from the default action easy, and would also aid in re-dropping items when its time to eat a just-killed monster. BTW, should a multiple drop or grab take more time than a single move? Should it be 1 move or a fraction of a move for each object? Interesting trade off between realism and playing convenience.
